COLUMBIA ICEFIELD

The Columbia Icefield - a 1200' thick sheet of ice stretching as far as the eye can see. The giant dome is the hydrographic apex, or triple divide, of North America. Water flows north from the dome to the Artic Ocean, Southwest to the Pacific Ocean, and Southeast to the Atlantic Ocean.
