DEATH TRAP The Death Trap, also know as the Death Slide, is the steep portion of the Victoria Glacier between Mt. Lefroy on the left and Mt. Victoria on the right. At the top of the Death Trap is Abbot Pass. The ACC maintains The Abbot Pass climbers hut just off the glacier in the pass. The hut and the pass is named after the first climber to perish in the Candian Rockies....you can guess how he died. |
