Success!!!! On Sunday, May 18th, Team Views From The Top took part in The Brain Tumor Society's Ride for Research 2003. After doing the ride solo last year, I decided to form a team this year. The team consisted of myself, my sister-in-law Sarah Almeida, my friends Mike Maljanian, Todd Kopoyan, Jeff Carvalho, and three site readers: John Satterlee, Barry Tremblay Sr., and Barry Tremblay Jr. The team raised about $3,000 for The Brain Tumor Society and I am very proud of everyone efforts. I'll post the final total as soon as I tally up a few late donations. I want to express my very sincere appreciation to all of the site readers, friends, family, and co-workers who donated to this event. You should be very proud knowing your contributions will fund research, provide support, information, and educational programs to patients, families, and professionals dealing with brain tumors. The ride was a wonderful experience for me and I think everyone on the team (even Todd, who had a couple of flats). We had the opportunity to ride with several who are living with brain tumors, and listen to the stories of those who have lost loved ones. They are a truly admiral group of people who are very appreciative of your support. Below are some pictures of the Ride for Research 2003. The banner under the big tent. John's road bike had tire problems, so he rode the 50 miles on his mountain bike with knobbie tires. Wow. (or ow!)

Sarah at the finish with her husband Tom (my brother) and their daughter Katey. Much thanks to Sarah for ordering the shirts and getting them silk screened! Thanks again to everyone who contributed! Together, we have helped make a difference. I hope to ride with some of you next year! - Darren Almeida
