On Sunday, May 16th, Team Views From The Top took part in The Brain Tumor Society's Ride for Research 2004. As of ride time, the team raised a total of $4,800 for The Brain Tumor Society and I am very proud of everyone efforts. I had set a team goal of $5,000 for the ride and I am hoping that a few late donations that are coming in will push us to that mark!

I want to express my very sincere appreciation to all of the site readers, friends, family, who donated to this event. I also want to give a special thank you to the team riders - you are the best! You should be very proud knowing your contributions will fund research, provide support, information, and educational programs to patients, families, and professionals dealing with brain tumors.

The ride was different this year from rides in the past...it rained. I mean it rained. No, really, I mean it RAINED. Hard. Very hard. We could have almost had a "Paddle for Research" instead. The rain did not dampen our spirits though. We still all had a great time and through all the road hazards, we only had one team member crash. I won't name any names, but she is fine.

I have some pictures from before the start of the ride, but none from during or after it due to the rain. Hare are some shots of the team members gearing up for action:

Barry Sr. and Barry Jr.
(yes, Barry Sr. does wear a kilt, but I don't have any pictures to prove it)

Darren and Barbara
Barbara gets credit for being the one who got me interested in TBTS.

John rode the skinny tires this year.

Mike - the original co-founder of Lexi Communications, Inc.
(for those of you who remember lexicomm.com from way back in the day)

This is from last year, but it is still one of my favorite shots.

Thanks again to everyone who contributed! Together, we have helped make a difference. I hope to ride with some of you next year!
