Date Hiked: Nov. 11

Conditions: These are sections 9 through 12 in the AMC Guidebook. Trail is in very good shape and easy to follow. We only had one or two areas that we needed to check for blazes carefully to ensure we were on the right track.

Comments: Not a lot of vistas on this section, but nice walking through the woods with lots of stone walls and old tote roads. The guys saw a turkey and we all had a great encounter with a porcupine, which was one of the highlights of the day. Holland Glen with its little cascades and waterfalls was also great, as was the trip through a pretty pine forest. Team for this hike was Silent Cal, Rocksnrolls and Cumulus... we were also joined in the morning by Dugan (two legged and four legged varieties.)
