Trail: Crockers, Redington bushwack and CVR Date Hiked: 6/7/07 Conditions: Started at AT crossing on Rt 27 to South Crocker.Trail was not wet. Bushwacked to saddle between South Crocker and Redington following a treadway marked with orange flagging. Not to hard to follow, just watch treadway and look for exposed roots. Bushwack drops you out in clearcut just west of saddle. Follow orange flags SSW uphill to skidroad. Follow skidroad SE to height of land at saddle. Look for orange flag on tree on right side of road and branch spray painted pink for start of bushwack up Redington. No cairns were marking this point. Follow orange flag and pink paint to main trail up Redington. Once on top of Redington followed the main trail out and CVR to RT 27. Most cars should be able to get in about 2 miles on CVR. There were a few small patches of snow. Special Required Equipment: Long pants(which I wore) and long sleeve shirt(which I brought and didn't but should of worn) for bushwack Submitted by: Keith |
