Trail: Little Jackson and Tumbledown

Date Hiked: 7/1/2007

Conditions: Some water at bottom part of Little Jackson, easy to walk around, otherwise dry. Rough bushwack trail from Little Jackson summit to Tumbledown pond. Parker Ridge trail in good shape, but man is it hard on the knees!

Special Required Equipment: None.

Comments: Fairly cool day for the 1st of July, and the exposed areas also presented us with a very stiff breeze. Someone has contructed a circular stone wall for a sit-down shelter at the top of Little Jackson, which we took advantage of to eat lunch. Trail from Little Jackson to Tumbledown pond was very steep and rough, we figured just a well used bushwack that has began to take on the appearance of a real trail in places.

Tumbledown pond to Tumbledown summit was easy, but also windy. Parker Ridge back to Little Jackson trailhead very rough and steep for most of it, especially the top half. My poor aching knees!

Upside to the strong winds were no bugs!
