Trail: Snow MT. Date Hiked: 8/6/07 Conditions: Muddy in the middle sections going from the reroute to the pond. A few minor blowdowns, but nothing that is not easily walked around. Special Required Equipment: Poles for the mud. Comments: A good fairly easy walk to the pond. My orriginal intent was to hike this with B. from the prevoius day, but the travel times and border crossing took a little loger than expected, so snow was on MOnday. It looks like it could have some nice views, but the rain started 1 mile in and it was a heavy rain by the summit. All in the clouds and heavy rain, then thunder as I was descending. Too bad, poles helped as the trail swamped out on the way down. It should be drier by now. Submitted by: Dave Beck |
