Date Hiked: 9/19-9/2

Conditions: Mostly dry, but muddy and slick coming down the north side of Old Speck.

Special Required Equipment: Water Filter! There is little to no reliable water source from about 1 mile before the Stewart Camp Site (traveling E to W) to the Slide Mtn. Camp Site. What you do find will need treating.

Comments: Overall the trial, both E and W side are in great shape. Commendations to the trail crews! I would like to see a few more blazes as the trial, in spots, was hard to find. The Lane, Stewart, and Sargent Brook camp sites were all well done. Signage is complete and accurate. Very much enjoyed our 4 days!
