Trail: Vose Spur bushwack

Date Hiked: 20-Sep-07

Conditions: Left the Carrigan Notch trail as in NEHH information packet. In general there are several bands or pockets of conifers which are quite thick, and areas of easy walking. Found and lost herd paths several times. The talus slope is quite loose, use care when crossing. The hillside gets very steep above this area, but is climbable with the assistance of the ever present trees. Followed a herd path on the way down all along the southwest ridge. This was much easier.

Special Required Equipment: Long sleeves and pants would reduce the number and severity of scratches.

Comments: Beutiful day to be in the mountains. Some very nice limited views from several points, with great views from the talus slope looking south.
