Date Hiked: 11/11/07

Conditions: Ellis River crossing not too difficult. Some ice at 3500 ft, beautiful winter white snow covers everything after 3700 feet. I used stabilicers for an hour or so. Cold at the top but 40s at the bottom.

Special Required Equipment: Fantastic - very steep, I used a pole, gaiters, stabilicers, fleece mittens, and I wore a couple of thin fleece shirts and fleece long underwear but never added the jacket from the pack.

Comments: Got out too late (8:50 am) for the full Ridge 8.4 miles/3850 ft before sunset, but still this was beautiful. Full winter gear for me until spring, at least this far North.
