Date Hiked: 11/17/07

Conditions: Drifting powder - maybe 8+ inches? Water crossings slippery.

Special Required Equipment: I used snowshoes but didn't track it on the descent. The trail is a mess.

Comments: Too much trailbreaking for me - took me almost 3 hours to get to Shining rock where I turned around to spend the early afternoon at the Beaver Brook rest area practicing x-country skiing instead. Winter's there in the notch, that's for sure!!!
