Trail: Pierce via the Crawford Path

Date Hiked: 11-18

Conditions: Packed out snow with quite a bit of ice..some running water around the falls

Special Required Equipment: Barebooted to Mitzpah cutoff..stablicers after then and all the way down..made for easy going as there were too many icy spots to go around..saw one in crampons but that seemed a bit much..light layers today..cold but with very little wind to the Pierce side trail

Comments: Plan B today worked out fine..the trail a winter wonderland as all trees draped in snow from the parking lot up..ascended into the clouds at around 4100 feet though so not much for distant views but the trees and boulders were out of this world..snow jays out in force..a few hikers out today..everyone had a smile..a good day to be in the woods..
