Date Hiked: 11/17 & 18

Conditions: 19 Mile Brook is dusted with snow and still has some wet spots and ice, but bare bootable to the hut. Heading north over Carter Dome, the snow depth and ice coverage quickly increases. Crampons now that the trail is packed out through the Carters, Imp Trail, Imp Shelter, Moriah and Stoney Brook Trail, unless they get more snow. There was 6" to 12" of fresh snow above 3000'.

Special Required Equipment: Crampons or smaller crampon'd snowshoes. Ibuprofen for the inevitable slips and slides heading north off North Carter.
