Trail: Gorge Brook Trail to Mt. Moosilauke

Date Hiked: 11/23/2007

Conditions: A few inches of snow down low working up to about a foot near the summit. Most of the trail was pretty well troden so traction (stabilicers) were only necesarry for the last half mile up. I wore them all the way down, mostly so I'd have themfor the walk back down Ravine Road.

Special Required Equipment: Poles were a great help. Stabilicers were required near the summit. I brought snowshoes and crampons but neither were needed. It is that season to be prepared for anything.

Comments: Full winter gear needed. It was about 15 and 20mph wind at the summit. A little windier and I would have needed face protection.

Beautiful day... Came across three other groups of hikers including 2 other dogs!
