Trail: Moosilauke - Gorge Brook/Carriage/Snapper Date Hiked: 11/23 Conditions: Old snow, pretty well packed, with a bit of fresh powder on top. We did not use Glencliff Trail, but two groups who did advised us that it was icy. Special Required Equipment: We all used Stabilicers. We carried snowshoes but did not need or use them on our route. It was windy and cold enough for goggles, face masks, shell mitts, etc. above treeline.
Comments: No views, but still an outstanding day to be out. Wind and temps made the summit brisk but tolerable. Nice to put on the winter gear! Submitted by: JTR,Pat,Jeff,Mary |
