Date Hiked: 11/24/07

Conditions: Packed snow below hut with occasional exposed rock. Above hut, mix of loose and packed snow with ice and ice flows. Snow and ice at summit.

Special Required Equipment: Stabilicers or crampons; face protection if on the summit or ridge for long.

Comments: Switched from stabilicers to crampons at hut. Saw a few younger hikers barebooting, but most people went with crampons. Avoided Falling Waters - fast flowing water and lots of ice in Walker Brook.
