Trail: Webster via Webster-Jackson Trail

Date Hiked: 11/25/07

Conditions: Beaten snow from Rte 302 to the summit, combined with a lot of ice. Water crossings all icy but doable.

Special Required Equipment: Standard early winter equipment. Snowshoes not at all necessary. However, crampons are the way to go on this trail at this point. There is too much ice for stabilicers or yaktrax to do it comfortably. Poles helpful, as always.

Comments: Very protected hike became incredibly windy on the summit. Great views of the notch.
