Date Hiked: 11/25/07

Conditions: Packed snow/ice, water on trails in and out from 302-Arethusa Ripley trail across untouched - crunchy snow. Icy patches but manageable by bushwacking around icy and wet spots.

Special Required Equipment: Light traction-One wore Yaktrax, others barebooted-Poles helpful.

Comments: Arethusa Falls was beautiful-flowing water over ice formations-watched 5-6 ice climbers scrambling over the cliff up and down the falls. Ripley Falls was just as gorgeous in winter dress.
