Trail: Falling Waters, Little Haystack, Lincoln, Lafeyette, OBP Date Hiked: 11/24 Conditions: Packed snow and some ice from trailhead to treeline, water crossings a little tricky. Ridgeline walk was a mix of packed snow, ice, and bare rock. OBP was mostly packed snow with some ice. Special Required Equipment: Several of us used stabilicers for the whole loop while two chose to bareboot. Having traction devices proved to be very helpful, and probably safer than bareboot. Full winter gear including face protection helpful on ridge. Comments: Chilly day, but excellent views and not too much wind. Saw about 20 people all wearing Santa Claus hats on the ridge, I didn't know which one to ask to have my picture taken with. Submitted by: Eli,Doc,Wagg,Cap'n,Matty |
