Trail: Paugus (almost), various trails, lost Stabilicer

Date Hiked: 11/29/07

Conditions: We ascended Big Rock Cave and Old Paugus Trails to high point. Down Lawrence and Kelley Trails. Cave Trail nice with a light dusting of snow. Crossing tricky but went with care. Upper Old Paugus Trail had lots of ice under the snow. Upper Lawrence Trail had some extended icy sections. Kelley Trail had a light snow cover and good footing. A few blowdowns in upper reaches.

Special Required Equipment: Traction for the icy stretches. Stabilicers were marginally adequate, Micro-spikes were perfect. Stabilicer on right foot, Kahtoola, crampon on left foot worked, too.

Comments: Lost a left, size M Stabilicer near the high point of Paugus, probably on very upper Lawrence Trail. Please let me know if you find it or lost a right one and want to deal.
Beautiful day! Kelley Trail was a delight, as always.
