Conditions: Trails were generally wet with minor down leaves.

Special Required Equipment: Gaiters possibly, but I never put mine on. Jacket for occassional cold and windy spots. Water pump if you want cause there's many streams along the way.

Comments: What a beautiful hike with buddy Earl on his first time thru Avalanche Pass and over the Matilda's to Colden & up from the Lake Colden side. The top of Colden was messy going over all the bumps, then down to beautiful Lake Arnold and back out thru Marcy Dam to the Loj. High winds in the trees,a cloudless sky and cool temperatures really made for a great day!
