Conditions: clear and very dry until above Indian Falls. Patches of ice covering trail up high. Summit mostly clear and dry

Special Required Equipment: CRAMPONS are in order now - wish I'd carried mine. I planned to hike into PG then come out over Haystack. Ice conditions caused me to bail via Opalescent and Avalanche Lake. Yak-Trak type traction aids insufficient, just carry the crampons from now until June.
