Date Hiked: 11/10/07

Conditions: Blue trail up JD Notch muddy in spots down below, but nothing serious. There was 2"-3" fresh heavy snow powder down in the valley. Up on top of Twin there was 4"-6" of lighter powder. Just a little ice in a few spots. I barebooted the whole way. Had Yak-Trax but didn't use them -- slipped and slid in a few spots, especially on the way down.

Special Required Equipment: Warm clothes, Yak-Trax or Stableicers would be good to take along. No snowshoes yet. Keep in mind, if it gets warm, that snow is going to melt, then maybe re-freeze. It might be crampon time up there real soon.

Comments: Lovely day for a hike! Winter wonderland. More snow than I have seen in a while.
