Trail: Marshall via Herbert Brook Date Hiked: Nov 17, 2007 Conditions: I put in a bare boot track to the top, 95+% of the time in the herd path. Ice in Herbert Brook is inconsistent; there is some open running water and some water hidden under snow. Above the brook, there was shin deep powder, enough for snowshoes. Special Required Equipment: Snowshoes useful (but unused). Crampons unused (and useless). Comments: It snowed overnight and flurries continued until 9:00 am. Then the skies turned blue with nice views of Iroquois and Colden. Submitted by: DonB |
