Trail: Camel's Hump via Burrows|
Date Hiked: 04/10/07
Conditions: Heavy wet powder at lower elevations and lots of it. Once you got into the pines it turned into the dry fluffy stuff. Conditions would have been incredible for skiing and it looked like a few people had been out there today taking advantage of it. Trail was not broken from clearing to summit.
Special Required Equipment: Snowshoes definitely necessary above the clearing, otherwise bareboot or your traction method of choice.
Comments: Absolutely beautiful - snowed the whole time. Access road is in surprisingly good shape. If we get the snow we're supposed to on Thursday, this weekend will be incredible. Still several feet of cover the whole way up. Trails close on the 15th though - this according to a brand new notice posted at the trailhead by the GMC.
