Conditions: Dry and buggy are the themes. Usual muddy areas are now dry. The stream at 1-mile is running strong, however, and you can still filter water at Battell Shelter although the flow is slow and pooling. Still a beautiful and rugged trail, with an elevation gain of 1,800' in 2.1 miles.

Special Required Equipment: Bug repellent is a must.
