Trail: AT from Rt. 12, Woodstock to West Hartford Date Hiked: 7-17-07 Conditions: Lots of overgrown fields! Special Required Equipment: Antihistamine
Comments: After a great day doing the AT in NH over Smarts and Cube, we headed to clean up this 13-mile section in VT. Lots of short but steep ups and downs combined with some really overgrown fields made for a bit of grumbling and itchy legs! That being said, we did have some nice views of the rolling VT hills, as well as beautiful sections full of milk weeds, thistle and black eyed susans plus some ripe raspberries. Yum!
