Trail: Killington via Bucklin Trail

Date Hiked: 8-11-07

Conditions: Trail was in great shape and much more civil than its White Mountains counterparts. The last few hundred yards from the hut to the peak reminded me of a typical trail in the Whites.

Special Required Equipment: None, well possibly a fly swatter.

Comments: A great day for a hike - clear with moderate temps. Reminded me of a mini-Washington with tourists abound at the peak in sandals, sneakers, jewelry and not a mis-placed hair. First 4Ker in Vermont for me and my two sons Devin and Keith who have finished the NH 4Kers. 3rd Vermont 4Ker for Roger and Tom. Not a bad hiking day when your partners are an ex-Marine and three Eagle Scouts.
