Date Hiked: 8/16/2007

Conditions: Blowdowns were few and far between. Trails are just starting to get muddy again. The foliage is past peak, but still worth seeing. Trees on the ridgelines are nearly bare of leaves. No snow at this elevation (2648 ft.).

Special Required Equipment: Winter head wear and gloves.

Comments: This hike took about six hours at a leisurely pace. When spotting a car for this hike you should follow the CCC Road out to Route 5 by turning left at the first junction and right at the second, and then turn right onto Route 5 to get to Wheeler Mountain Road.
